You’ll be coming across “classics” that became difficult to find nowadays. Let’s take a quick peek!

Before we run through the dishes served here, let’s refresh our memory of The Plaza’s rich history. Starting off as a family-run business in Makati way back in 1960’s, The Plaza was a pioneer in the food industry. Subsequent to its opening, it was also the year when The Plaza Premium Baked Ham was launched. Soon after, the minds behind The Plaza introduced an “out-of-this-world” concept during that time -- buffet. You’d think that this is a concept from this current millennium, but surprisingly they were way ahead of us.

Today, The Plaza evolved into a catering business, gracing events with festive Filipino-inspired dishes. Of course, The Plaza is still known for its Premium Baked Ham, and remains to be a house name when we speak of hams.

Now, we get lucky because we can have a taste of The Plaza through this pop-up in Rustan’s. We’ll be able to try the Crispy Kangkong which comes with a heavenly garlic aioli dip.

The Plaza Premium Baked Ham is, of course, the superstar in this restaurant. It comes with 4 dips to bring more variation to your palate, but each brings something exciting out of the ham. Dips include garlic aioli, honey mustard, wasabi mayo and the classic glaze.

This Chicken a la Kiev is a rare find here in the metro, much more something that sticks to the original recipe (perhaps even better). It oozes with butter goodness!

Then you’ll also try something unusual such as this premium corned beef on broth. Just imagine those meaty chunks finding their way to your mouth. Delightful!

If you are not a broth kind of person, you can have the premium corned beef roasted. It has a different dimension to it with bolder smoky flavor.

Those who are looking out for some snacks may go for the burgers stuffed in cream cheese.

And of course, pasta lovers are not left out in this pop-up restaurant. They have this overly comforting Lasagne al Forno that has generous meat in every layer. It’s also topped with melty-gooey cheese, making it effective in wiping out your stress. Just see it for yourself.

Then, there’s another superstar – the truffle pasta which is prepared over a Parmesan wheel. It uses real truffle which gives it this “clean” authentic taste. A definite must-try for truffle lovers!
