Bulgogi Brothers in Mall of Asia - a place for Korean Cuisine Grillables

I once shared with you in this blog my lack of fondness for Korean cuisine, and even up to now I still have more or less the same insight. However, I do have some exception when it comes to the cuisine, and they are nothing but the grillables such as samgyupsal and bulgogi to name a few.

Anyway, there was this one Sunday after hearing a mass when we went to MoA for our usual family dinner, and just like before, it took us a while to decide on where to eat. Yeah, there's nothing much interesting around MoA anymore, and each time it becomes more and more difficult to pick out something interesting. When we were about to give up on thinking, one of my siblings suggested Bulgogi Brothers. I contested, but later on agreed. Afterall the restaurant offers the dishes I mentioned above.

Bulgogi Brothers
Just like most of the restaurants under the Bistro Group, Bulgogi Brothers has this cozy modern look that seems inviting and comfy. Of course, it would have been more interesting if the place exudes Korean ambiance, but even so, I find the place okay. I wasn't able to snap a good shot of the place, so I'm just going to head onto the dishes.

When you order anything grillable such as those under the "Barbecue" section of the menu, you'll get unlimited refills for these appetizers:

Bulgogi Brothers Appetizers

Among the appetizers served, my favorites are the sweetened anchovies and the corn.

Spicy Seafood Dumpling || P450 - 6 pieces

Although heavily pricey, this dumpling dish is something you may enjoy because of its sweet-spicy goodness, crunchiness and of course tastiness. Well, actually, it's the sauce that really drives this dish.

Bulgogi Bibimbap || P395
Traditional Korean favorite - a bowl of mixed rice topped with vegetables, egg and bulgogi

I'm not a big fan of Bibimbap, but I certainly enjoyed this one. What I usually do is to get a spoonful of bibimbap and place it on top of the bulgogi/samgyupsal before I wrap everything up with a lettuce.

Also, if you are not much into Korean cuisine like me, you may want to request to add only have of the spicy sauce here in the Bibimbap. I actually can't describe the taste. All I know is that the vegetables, the bulgogi and the raw egg blended well to create a palatable experience.

I no longer commented on a per dish basis for the grillables because they seem to taste alike except for the Pork Bulgogi. Hence, I will just comment on them collectively.

Usually when it comes to bulgogi, samgyupsal and other grillables, it is most likely the freshness and quality of the meat that matter. Fortunately, Bulgogi Brothers didn't disappoint in providing such great quality and fresh meat. We already dined here in this restaurant twice, and they were consistent in terms of the quality.

Also, I would like to share with you how much I enjoyed our experience. I may not like Korean cuisine, but when it comes to these grillables, it's totally different.

Overall, I find Bulgogi Brothers a really nice place for some Korean grilling. Admittedly, you may find the restaurant a bit pricey especially when you don't have a Bistro Card, entitling you to a 20% discount.

Now, to end this blog post, I just want to say that this restaurant now belongs to my currently slim list of restaurants I like in Mall of Asia.

How about you - do you recommend this place?
