CYMA: An Awesome Greek Restaurant for a Unique Dining

CYMA Greek Restaurant

While waiting for the time set for the grade consultation my block mates and I decided to burn time by going to Robinsons’ Place Ermita, and to have our lunch there. Since we were eager to try something new (to compensate for the dismay of our grades in a particular subject), we decided to try Cyma (a Greek restaurant) located in 2nd Floor of the Midtown Wing!

Cyma Greek Restaurant in Robinson's Place Manila

CYMA has a simple yet elegant interior which was considerably cozy to chill and enjoy delectable Greek dishes! It showcases the typical Greek theme highlighted by some precious blue tones. Anyway, I will no longer keep you waiting and present to you 3 dishes that we were able to try out during that time.

For the appetizer, we got to try an Orektika: Spinach and Artichoke Fondue (P350)
Spinach and Artichoke Fondue

Dashing right? This Fondue contains melted cheese, sun dried tomatoes & feta and served with soft pita triangles and grilled garlic bread. Although this dish may taste a bit salty for some (or probably it was just me because I'm not used to it), this special Fondue definitely started out the meal really awesome! All those ingredients gracefully dance together creating a memorable experience as you take a munch of this fondue.

Next one was the pasta. Solomos Angel Hair to share (P650)

Now, this one is a special dish which I totally enjoyed so much! Solomos Angel Hair is a CYMA original and features the delicious blend of basil cream sauce, fresh lime juice, feta and Romano cheese, and let's not forget the mouthwatering sautéed salmon with tomato. This is why each mouthful bite will give a taste of heaven as the fresh salmon (which has a smooth texture as if it was raw) and pasta tickle your taste buds.

The third dish was the Chicken Souvlaki (P340) also known as the Chicken Kebab:
Chicken Souvlaki

Chicken Souvlaki is a dish of skewered chicken with fresh vegetables served with parsley salad and yogurt garlic sauce. But, since I wasn't able to find much delight in tasting this one up (although I admit, the presentation was really neat) it was just "okay" for me. Admittedly though, I really enjoyed the tomatoes (which is indicative that the dish was really grilled very well).

Now, for the desserts... nah, we didn't have any because we were already too full. We thought we can still accommodate some desserts, but we couldn't believe how we underestimated those 3 dishes.

  4. Their food is okay (except for the Baklava - a disappointment) however our experience with the crew (RP Manila) was bad. They took so long with our orders and they were chit-chatting. We felt ignored.
