Chili's Steaks, Buy 1 Take 1 Cocktails, Burgers and More

Back in the year when I had my first job (circa 2014-2017), we would often find ourselves dining in Chili's, Greenbelt 5. It had become a staple for a Friday night out, and sometimes for a family birthday celebration. Over the 3 years, I developed a certain affinity with the restaurant. Hence, it was heartbreaking that after I changed job, Chili's and I started to drift apart.

Thankfully, just recently I got to reunite with Chili's once again, and it was pretty nostalgic. Now, I get to be reminded how Chili's remains to be consistently delicious despite the years that had gone by.

Chili's Restaurant in Tomas Morato

The iconic semi-retro feels of Chili's
One of the many great things I remember about Chili's is how easily recognizable the ambiance is. You start off with this semi-retro diner exterior. Upon entering, you'd be greeted by this lively sports-bar counters along with exuberating chit-chats from fellow diners.

The classic tostada chips are back!
Amid the pandemic, Chili's was not spared in supply chain issued, and had to temporarily remove the tostada chips from its menu. However, just recently they are proud to share that it's back again. I was happy hearing about it because this classic dish was a constant on our table whenever we dined in back then. Now that I'm at it, I very much recommend the Skillet Queso (P440) because it's very heavenly. Cheese-lovers will definitely go head-over-heels about the richness and gooeyness of this. Plus, it comes with the tostada chips (can be refilled once).

I might have missed this on the menu before, but I'm glad that I got to discover this now. They have this Assorted Fresh Fruit Mist (P150) drink, with which you have 6 fruit flavors to choose from. I picked the strawberry one. It was halfway between a slushie, and a smoothie which gives the drink this ultra-refreshing gulp. The strawberries were also bursting in the mouth making this drink easily an instant favorite.

It's Steak Time!
Thick and Juicy, USDA choice. Cooked just how you like it.
Another staple here in Chili's is the collection of its steak, and I got to sample all of them. Hence, you have the power to choose which among the selection catches your eye. Or why not order a couple or three?

Salt & Pepper Dusted Sirloin Steak of Chili's
Salt & Pepper Dusted Sirloin Steak (P950). 8oz sirloin steak on a bed of sauteed bell pepper and onion, topped with seasoned butter. Served with chimichurri garlic potato and mushroom sauce.

Country Fried Steak of Chili's
Country Fried Steak (P595). Hand-battered beef steak with mashed potatoes and black pepper gravy. This is my personal recommendation because of its uniqueness. I don't know many places that serve a fried steak.

The Classic Ribeye of Chili's Philippines
Classic Ribeye (P1,650). 12oz tender cut steak, marbled for more flavor and topped with seasoned butter. Served with steamed fresh veggies and loaded mashed potatoes.

Honey-Chipotle Shrimp & Sirloin of Chili's
Honey-Chipotle Shrimp & Sirloin (P1,450). 8oz sirloin steak with honey-chipotle glazed shrimp. Served with steamed fresh veggies and loaded mashed potatoes.

Beef Salpicao of Chili's
Beef Salpicao (P825). Grilled marinated tender steak tips, sprinkled with garlic flakes. Served with Chili's rice and steamed fresh veggies.

If you happen to be not the steak-type, well, they have luscious ribs available.
Chili's Baby Back Ribs

Just look at that vibrant color of the ribs. So tempting! The full rack is at P1,400 while half is at P725. Both comes with fries and shredded corn. What I love about Chili's Baby Back Ribs is how smokey and sweet the flavor is all at the same time, and the meat is oh-so-tender that they fall off the bone.

Trio Fajitas of Chili's

Now if you plan to have something lighter instead, you will never go wrong with another specialty of Chili's. The Fajitas. For the ultimate experience, go for the Trio Fajitas (P925) where you'll have the grilled chicken, steak and shrimp (shown in the photo above). It comes with tortilla wrappers, fresh salsa, cheese and sour cream.

Fried Cheesecake of Chili's Restaurant

You can then cap your dining experience in Chili's with their delectable desserts, which are very much iconic as well. They have this Fried Cheesecake (P390) that comes with golden brown fried cheesecake with a hefty scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Molten Chocolate Cake of Chili's

The Molten Chocolate Cake (P395) is a famous classic here in Chili's. It has this chocolate top that you can crack open as you push the ice cream inside giving you a delicious explosion. The aftermath? Well, just look at the luscious outcome in the photo above.
Chili's is very much eager to have a lot of diners be reunited back (similar to my case), and if you think great food is not enough to do the trick, there is no better convincing than letting you know about this Buy 1 Take 1 promo for their cocktails. Yes, imagine sipping your favorite cocktail at effectively half the price along with your buddies/besties. Pure bliss!

It just feels great being able to feel the nostalgia just by experiencing Chili's again. I remember having a wide smile plastered on my face when I went home from the restaurant. It was great to be back!
