Sparkz Restobar Buffet in Cebu City
After spending a couple of hours doing some activities of Sky Experience Adventure (read more), we decided to cap it off by feasting on the buffet of Sparkz Restobar. Just in case you are not familiar with it, this is the restaurant related to the Sky Experience Adventure, and right now there is a package wherein you'll get 2 rides and a dinner buffet here in Sparkz for only P900. You may also opt for the one with only 1 ride (still with buffet) at P750. Here in this blog post, I'll help you assess whether to take the offer or not.
The interior of Sparkz Restobar at night seem to be a little dull from the lack of proper lighting. Supposedly, dim lighting enhances the coziness of the place, but I found it overly dim in this case. Also, there is something about the way the place looks that makes the ambiance less classy than what it could be. Admittedly, this hampered our dining experience here in Sparkz.
Anyway, let's get on to some of the dishes you may find here in this restaurant.
The sushi bar has a very limited collection. In fact, you'll only find 2-3 varieties here. The first one is the Tuna Sashimi, and the other two are the rolls or maki.
Although I am a bigger fan of salmon sashimi, I was still very thankful that they serve a sashimi here. Without it, my experience here in Sparkz could have been totally mediocre. The tuna may not be the freshest I had, but it was decent enough to cause delight.
The rolls were also just right -- not so great but enough to bring mild satisfaction.
If you are not the sushi and sashimi type of a foodie (although I may need to question your foodie-ness), you may want to splurge on some of the cold cuts for your appetizer. If that will still not do, well perhaps you may want to have the fruits.
As you may imply, the buffet spread is limited and simple, but I guess that was just okay considering that you'll just pay an additional P150 for the buffet (i.e. 2 rides without the buffet cost P750). Below is how the salad station looks like.
There is also an available soup if you feel a little chilly for the night.
You may also find this noodle station interesting, where you can ask for some Asian-style pasta/noodles.
If you want noodles the Japanese way, you may want to have this simple Sukiyaki found on the buffet spread. Plus, check out some other dishes you may find on the table.
One of the highlights, I guess, will be this bagnet which I found interesting and satisfying. It goes well with the sarsa making it more savory.
That's mostly what you can find for the appetizers and main dishes, now to proceed with the dessert, let me show you these photos.
I didn't go for any desserts anymore since I couldn't find something really interesting. What I did instead was to eat tuna sashimi for dessert. Yeah, it may be weird, but I wanted to end my dining experience with something I really enjoy.

There isn't much exciting here in Sparkz Restobar, so I just want you to manage your expectations. However, despite this not-so-good remark, I would say that you give it a go when you already have decided to go for the rides in the Sky Experience Adventure. For the extra bucks, I guess everything here is still "sulit".
Given this experience, I couldn't help but include it in my list of "good for trying only" restaurants. Well, the only reason we tried this was because we wanted to experience the sky adventure. Hence, if you take that away, I don't think I'll be checking this place out.
