After a long tour around Binondo seeking for food-tastic places, we decided to make a final stop to Lord Stow's Bakery - home of the famous Macau egg tarts!

Note: I was able to blog about this already a year ago, since my mom had it for take out. You may want to check out the blog post here: Famous Egg Tarts.

Lord Stow's Bakery brags about its "best-tasting" egg tarts which came all the way from Macau. Of course, it's silly to think that they are importing this every time. Anyway, we had this for a final stop because we needed to end our Binondo Food Trip P250-Challenge with a dessert, and it was considerably epic!

Almost a Bad Idea that still Turned Out Great
Alright, it was almost a bad idea that we chose this place because there was no way our food trip group, consisting of 14 people, fitting inside the small store which I guess can only accommodate 6-7 people. However, we still decided to give it a go through a compromise - some of us will stay outside the store (baked under the afternoon heat) while some will go in to buy boxes of the egg tarts.

As one of the blogger-perks, I got picked to enter the "bakery".

The photo above shows the box containing the sweet and delicious treats from Lord Stow's but before we finally open it, I just want to share that the bakery also offers other delicacies such as cakes, coffee, soup, spreads and more!

Luckily, I was able to take a few snapshots of the spread offerings!

The Divine Egg Tarts
As mentioned in my previous blog post, Lord Stow's Egg Tarts are the best ones I've tasted so far! The tart is tenderly creamy that creates a melt in your mouth sensation, and pastry nestling the filling is appropriately crisp. You will definitely savor each moment munching it in!

Tip from a Friend (Kim Miranda): One of my food trip buddies that tagged along with me suggested putting the egg tarts inside the refrigerator. This will give a different texture and flavor at the same time to the tarts. He said that he preferred them this way.

I would say that this is really worth trying! Go check it out by including it in your food trip list!
