5-Course Degustation Review of Lucia Ristorante in Makati

Lucia Ristorante Italian Restaurant in Makati

It's been a long while, since I became active in updating this food blog. Things are running wildly at work, which I am pretty much thrilled about nonetheless. Also, I'm trying to put more content in my other personal/finance blog. Although this is the case, I still try my best to enjoy and unwind. Just last Friday, I was able to take a breather by bonding with my mom here in Lucia Ristorante.

I met Lucia (figuratively speaking) a few months back, but I wasn't able to really try out what it can offer. Now, with the 5-Course Degustation for 2 voucher I purchased in a deal site, I got to try out a handful of dishes here in this cozy place.

Lucia Ristorante in Makati City

About the restaurant
Lucia Ristorante exudes a comforting air of sophistication that is still considerably accommodating. Dining there allows you to enjoy a moment of solitude with the person/people you dine with. There's a soft mellow music running in the background which really soothes the mind.

Lucia Ristorante Interior in Makati City

My mom also loved the interior. She even wanted me to take photos of her because of the wonderful ambiance. Anyway, while we were bewildered by the "simple" magnificence of the place, this one came up.

Lucia Ristorante Service Bread

Well, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about this bread. It was alright. However, I would have loved it more if it was indeed freshly baked in-house like in this cool Filipino restaurant called Rural Kitchen of Liliw Laguna (read more).

Appetizer
Carpaccio Di Manzo Sedano E Grana, Parmigiana Di Melanzane and Napoletana pizza
Appetizer in Lucia Ristorante, Makati - Degustation

The Parmigiana Di Melanzane (mozzarella-topped eggplant) was a delicately fine appetizer that really captured my heart. it was simple yet nearly perfect! It got this spectacular blend of subtle flavors enhanced by a play of textures.

The pizza was almost regular but still nice and simple. Nothing much but still enjoyable. Lastly, Carpaccio Di Manzo Sedano E Grana (beef carpaccio with lemon and fresh parmesan) was amazing with its lightly salty taste that danced through the buds.

Pasta Dishes
Lasagne Della Casa Con Crema Di Porcini, Pomodoro Pasta, Taglientelle Alla Carbonara
Pasta Dishes - Degustation - Lucia Ristorante

The Pomodoro Pasta was superb with its wild sour goodness! It's the kind of Italian pasta I truly adore. It may be oilier than it could have been, but still it was a beautiful creation!

The carbonara had this crispy pancetta on top that was a tremendously lovable surprise. It was also full of flavors that paired well with the creamy carbonara. On the other hand ,the lasagna was not the way I envisioned it to be, since it was kinda "airy" attributable to the thick white sauce lying on top. Nevertheless, I found it satisfying enough to keep me running!

Orata All' Ortolana
Roasted fish with creamy pesto sauce

This special fish dish was indeed fresh and fine. I have nothing much to say other than it was balanced.

Coscie DI Pollo Tartufate in Salsa Rosa
Chicken thigh stuffed with mushrooms with rich pomodoro on top

This sumptous chicken dish was cooked well, evidenced by its tenderness and texture. The flavor seeped nicely into the meat fibers resulting to a palatable experience. Furthermore, the pomodoro sauce on the side further enriched the taste making it highly momentous!

Desserts
Pannacotta Del Piemonte and Tiramisu

The desserts were both lovely leaving a sweet note. The pannacotta was thick and heavenly  rich! On the other hand, the tiramisu was not as noteworthy due to a peculiarity in its taste, but still it was above decent sufficient to make my overall experience a fantastic one!
