The Best Ice Cream Selections in Metro Manila by THE CAKE CLUB

If you are dying to try a magnificent ice cream that will surely captivate your heart, you better try the ones in The Cake Club. In fact, in my own opinion, I met the best ice cream I tasted so far! Read along to find out why I can this to you.

The Cake Club in Taguig City - Home of Great-Tasting Cake-Ice-Cream

The Cake Club is a hidden gem found in North East Building BHSC of Taguig City. If offers several precious sweet treats such as cakes, chocolates, ice creams and more! Several treasure hunters already discovered this gem, and I am lucky to be one of them. Hence, I am here to tell the tale, so that you get to be bewildered as well!

We only went for the ice creams, so we will focus primarily on them in this blog post. I ranked the four we had according to what I believe is the best.

Tip: Share with a friend! Each order (P180) contains 2 scoops of ice cream, and because the flavors are too potent, you may reverse the pleasure if you consume both.

1. Baked Cheesecake Ice Cream

This amazing Baked Cheesecake Ice Cream offered layers of blissful flavors. Each spoonful contained intense flavors that really aroused our taste buds. The great thing about this flavor is that it has the best of both worlds (both a cheesecake and ice cream). The sweetness was just fine with a hint of saltiness from the cream cheese; the creaminess was top-notch and the experience was heaven.

2. Supermoist Chocolate Cake Ice Cream

Supermoist Chocolate Cake Ice Cream

This ice cream will surely take  chocolate lovers like me to Cloud 9. It experienced this enjoyable bitter-sweet flavor that made me feel like it was my birthday. (Well, it somehow was). Each bite contained bits of the moist chocolate cake creating a different kind of adventure. You'll love this!


Worthy to be Mentioned: Mont Blanc Ice Cream

Mont Blanc (Chestnut and Rum)

If you want to try something unusual, try this ice cream. You will be able to taste the rum in a subtle way that makes it somewhat special. However, my friend Nat noted that he found the taste of rum lacking, and could have been stronger for a better taste experience. I, on the other hand, found it fine and kind of reminded me of a pinoy sorbetes. Still, it wasn't as great as the first 2 ones, but it was enjoyable at the least.

Not-So-Great Category: Green Tea with Roasted Brown Rice

Let me coin a term for this ice cream - "deal breaker". Yes, we were all able to enjoy everything we had except for this one, and it was completely unanimous. Admittedly, it wasn't really that bad; however, the primary reason why it "sucked" was because all the other ice creams were great. As for the specifics, it had this burnt rice flavor, which apparently didn't appeal to any of us. Plus, the green tea flavor we are all familiar with was not there. In short, the taste of roasted brown rice was too overpowering making it feel like we were tasting something burnt. Anyway, despite this, I'm positive that a few foodies will be able to enjoy this, although it was really not our cup of tea.

The Ice Cream Rating: ★★★★★

As mentioned, I felt that my joy was at its peak when I tasted the ice creams. Right there and then, I came to a conclusion that The Cake Club is currently the home of the best ice cream in town.
