The Hotel Restaurant
We checked out the place for the sake of visiting it and to get some cakes for our desserts (we had our dinner in Smalltalk). It was a nice that we decided to drop by because it felt so relaxing being in the place not to mention how peaceful it was just to sit there and chat with friends.Dining area of the restaurant in The Oriental Hotel |
Anyway, to enjoy much of the fresh breeze of Legazpi, we agreed to enjoy our cakes outdoor.

There was a slow to no response at all when we visited the restaurant, and apparently they have low sensitivity to customers' needs. In fact, it took more than 10 minutes before the cakes were served, while all they have to do is to slice the cake, put it on a plate, and serve it up with a smile. Hmmm..
(And did I mention that the place seemed empty when we visited?)
The Cakes
We only had 2 cakes (which by the way costed P100 each) to share among us during that time because we were already full. The first cake we chose was the Chocolate Caramel Cake:

The next one we had was the Mango Shortcake:

The Experience
Overall, it wasn't that bad despite the not-so-good service and satisfactory cakes because we really enjoyed the first few moments eating the cake, plus we all loved how serene the place was. I suggest that you visit the place only at night, unless you are planning to book for a stay in this hotel.
