Mudpie Heaven - a perfect hideout for "introverts"
My office mates and I started a group called “Trulaloo” a few months back. We wanted to pour out our craziness by producing (hopefully) funny and entertaining videos on Youtube and other platforms. We already did a few shoots, which is why on Chinese New Year 2018, we decided to have our soft launching.
We were in search of a place to do our launching. It took us a while, but we finally agreed on meeting in Circuit Makati — particularly on this place called Mudpie Heaven, primarily because they have free wi-fi and sockets available.
Chill and peaceful interior
The good thing about the place is that it has a comforting ambiance with its modern design. There are also strong “nature” elements which give it a peaceful vibe. All of these make the place conducive to finish reading a book or in our case, work on our Youtube and other social media channels.
Introverts will rejoice as this is a great place to recharge as well.
Mudpie, etc.
We already had our lunch when we got in the place, so we just had desserts. After all, the name suggests that their specialty is “dessert” or mudpie to be exact.
We had this Mississippi Mudpie (P270) — a dream for those with prominent sweet tooth! The crust is made of chocolate followed by a layer of vanilla ice cream, then a thick mousse-like chocolate ice cream, topped with chocolate ganache and embellished with whipped cream and flower.
The result was sheer magnificent for the palate (and the tooth). While I still adore the mudpie of Friday’s more, this one will definitely do especially with its more affordable price.
They also serve here some awesome drinks such as this Cucumber Mint Fresca Popsicle Drink (P95). It’s definitely fancy-looking yet very affordable.
Emil arrived at the place hungry, so I’m happy because I have something to cover other than the dessert and drink.
So yes, Mudpie Heaven also serves meals other than desserts, but unfortunately I may need to try other dishes since we weren’t much impressed with the Rosemary Buttermilk Chicken (P400).
The crispness of the skin was commendable, as well as the texture, but it was the flavor which seemed to be a lackluster. It didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t awesome either. The gravy also didn’t help as it had a rather peculiar taste. Thankfully, the mashed potato was far decent enough to somehow “save” the dish.
The soft launching was a “success” since we were able to upload despite the 0.50 MBPS upload speed. By the way, I’m rooting for your support, so hopefully you can check one of our first videos out:

Mudpie Heaven is a good place to chill. It allows you to think freely with the quietness and the relaxing ambiance. Desserts are also nice, so I really suggest you try the mudpies! The servers were also very warm and friendly, making our stay considerably awesome!
