Pancake House in the Modern Uptown Mall in BGC, Taguig
Spreading the warmth of its homey cuisine, Pancake House opened up its newest branch in the recently built modern Uptown Mall in Taguig. What's interesting is it is basically housed on the seemingly "roofdeck" of the mall which is also highly accessible for condo homeowners (i.e. Uptown Place) making great comfort food available within reach.
I was fortunate enough to be given the privilege to dine in this branch, and I am here to share with you my experience during the night.
This branch is located on the "roof deck garden" of the mall, giving the entire area a refreshing touch. As of this writing, there are still a handful of restaurants that will open in a month or so, but the place is really promising!
Just like most of the other branches, the interior in Pancake House has this "homey" feel that allows you to just dine casually. This is why Pancake House is a great venue for family eat out!
Okay, let's now take a look at some of the dishes we had during that wonderful night! Let's begin with the soup!
Today's Heartwarming Soup || P96
Mushroom soup with cucumber
This soup was creamy with bold flavor (i.e. slightly saltier than usual), but this was cushioned by the light essence of cucumber, adding an interesting touch.
Caesar Salad || P187
Although I found some of the greens soggy, the salad was overall fine. For the price, this one has sufficient serving size.
Seafood Gambero || P300
Driven by a fantastic balanced seafood goodness, the taste of this Seafood Gambero was indeed a great one! It also got this apt sourness that went with the subtle sweetness of the tomato-based sauce.
Carbonara || P269
The Carbonara was both creamy and cheesy -- two of the characteristics I truly find appealing for a carbonara! The flavor was dense in a delicious sense. This paired up well with the al dente pasta making the entire dish a great one. Come to think of it, this dish may be one of the best ones I had.
Classic Pan Chicken || P227 - 3 pieces
The chicken here in Pancake House is truly a CLASSIC with its crispy golden armor. It's also rightly spiced making each bite sensational and comforting.
Choco Marble Pancake || P176 - 2 pieces
The pancake itself was fluffy and nicely prepared. It may not be as buttery, but it really appealed to my palate. What added magic to the pancake was the peanut butter scoop on top. Delish!
Peach Waffle || P187
The waffle was fantastic as the peaches compliment the taste. It's really one of our family's favorite here in Pancake House.
You may check out Pancake House here in the 4th floor of Uptown Mall, BGC, Taguig. The store opens daily at 10:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM except for Fridays and Saturdays (i.e. 11:00 PM).
