Fireside by Kettle in Bonifacio High Street Central Square
With the drive to further explore BGC, we decided to try one of the many restaurants found in High Street. After minutes of evaluation and upon learning that there is buttermilk chicken in the restaurant, we finally ended up in Fireside.
Playful modern interior
Fireside features a playful combination of red, sky blue and grey in its interior, making it very adorable and perky at the same time. There is also a dash of sporty feel in the ambiance which provides some energy boost as you enter the place.
Contemporary American comfort food
The menu of Fireside has a predominance of American influence with majority of the dishes being "spin-offs" of traditional comfort dishes (i.e. fried chicken, waffles, burgers, donuts, etc.). For this particular experience, we were able to try two (2) dishes.
Sliders with incredible flavors and mix of textures
The Southern Fried Chicken Sliders (P289) had this superb flavor coming from the chicken itself and the garlicky sauce. Also, the crunchiness of the batter together with the freshness of the tomatoes make each bite "mouth-worthy".
Tip: It may seem all tall and difficult to eat, but what you can do is grab a slider, and squish it together. That way all the veggies as well as the chicken flatten up for a manageable bite.
Rich in flavor with thick yet crunchy batter oozing with buttermilk taste
The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Fingers (P549) was incredibly rich in taste as you can savor the butter and milk in the thick batter. Also, despite this thickness, the batter was all crunchy which provided adventure in each bite. Lastly, the touch of cajun honey added a delicate layer of flavor to the chicken. Two-thumbs up! It may be pricey, but it's a fantastic dish you can splurge on!

Fireside definitely provides high-quality dishes that give comfort, as well as jolt in your taste buds. The ambiance is also very conducive for a playful dining experience, and the servers are accommodating. Excited to get back for more!
