Ribs and More in Tender Bob's of Greenbelt 3, Makati

Ribs and More in Tender Bob's of Greenbelt 3, Makati

Exposure to the same restaurants all over again just takes out some excitement out of it, and the only way for us to appreciate our "old favorites" once more, is to try something different. Doing so allows the buds to experience a reset, and it will be good as new. This was our motivation for trying out Tender Bob's.

Tender Bob's in Makati City

Casual feel with abundance of red
The interior of Tender Bob's is conquered by an abundance of red from couch to table. During our visit, the room temperature was not as conducive as it can be which was not that helpful in generating happiness for our stay. Also, although it was generally comfy, there was a lack of "breathable space" with how things were organized.

Now, let's take a look at the dishes we had during this visit.

Clam Chowder || P219
Rich clam cream soup with bread bowl

The clam chowder is rich in flavor matched with velvetty creaminess. Simple yet delicious!

Chicken Tenders || P319
Breaded chicken strips, fries and honey mustard sauce

The chicken tenders were cripsy and meaty on the core; however, the batter may have too rough a texture that diminishes enjoyment. Still, overall, it was an amazing chicken tender!

Spaghetti Bolognese || P199 - Solo || P389 - Sharing
Meat sauce, parmesan, spaghetti

Pardon the photo as we got too excited to taste the bolognese, so we mixed 'em all up immediately. Anyway, this pasta was really good as to its meaty sauce. The only problem with this is that the serving size, though for "sharing", can be good for one, and may not actually be for sharing.

Baby Back Ribs || P509 - Hungry || P849 - Starving
Homemade barbecue sauce, corn on the cob and coleslaw

The ribs here in Tender Bob's are delecate with smokey tang, and just like the name of the restaurant, the ribs are indeed "tender". Unfortunately, for the price, the ribs may not be that generous in serving size. Also, the dish appeared too yellow, which pyschologically didn't help boost up appetite.

Okay, so that's most of what we had. You may check out the summary below for my overall review.

Tender Bob's - Overall Ratings and Summary

Note: Unshaded stars are equivalents of half-stars. The ratings apply solely to this dining experience.
Place
Taste  ★★
Service  ★★
Value for Money ★★
Budget: at least P500 each for a moderate dining experience for a group of at least 4

Tender Bob's is very much comparable to Chili's and Friday's due to similarities in concept (i.e. both the ambiance and food). However, Tender Bob's pales as opposed to the other two. Well, maybe the food are not as enticing as they may appear, and the yellow plates were too distracting. Taste ranged from satisfactory to great, but the price may feel heavy on the pocket. Still, overall Tender Bob's is something great to try. It will now depend on your preference, whether to dine here again.
