Kamarilya Pizza & Sausages in Sikatuna Village, Quezon City
Another famous food spot in Quezon City aside from Maginhawa (or more generally Teacher's Village) is Sikatuna Village, and I only learned about this when I was given the opportunity to try out some dishes in a chill pizza place called Kamarilya Pizza & Sausages in the said area. With this, I'm going to share with you more about our experience as well as the place itself.
The interior here in Kamarilya provides you a homey feel allowing to chill with your friends, which is perfect for catching up or just having a fun exchange of thoughts over good food.
Although the usual customers here are students, nothing will stop you to drop by if you are not one. Plus, if you are into music, there are bands that play here during Fridays and weekends. This adds more to the chill vibe.
Alright, we shall now proceed with the food here in Kamarilya as we start off with some appetizers.
Potato Wedges || P88
Deep-fried wedges tossed with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley served with garlic sauce
These well-fried potato wedges were crispy and had this subtle salty tang due to the parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
TPL - Tanglad, Pandan, Luya || P58 - Glass || P148 - Pitcher
This house-made concoction is something you can look forward to due to its interesting blend of flavors. Well, it may be sweeter than usual for my palate, but it surely provides adventure with its methol-y sensation as you take a sip.
Buffalo Wings || P158
Baked crispy wings coated with chili paste and marinara sauce layered with garlic sauce
Enjoy a taste of fire with the buffalo wings here in Kamarilya. Fret not because it's not just spicy, it's flavorful as well.
Anchovy || P128
Spaghetti pasta topped with sauteed anchovies and black olives
This pasta is great for those who want some swing of flavors. The pasta in itself was lightly flavored (and may be bland for some) as it takes most of its strength of flavor from the anchovies.
Pesto || P128
Home-style pesto sauce pasta with lots of garlic served with grilled chicken strips and a slice of garlic-butter bread
The Pesto pasta has a more evened out flavor as opposed to the anchovies. I prefer this one because I often prefer dishes with balanced taste, and this one has it.
Kamarilya Supreme || P358
Kamarilya's carrier pizza topped with ham, bacon, pepperoni, fresh basil, mushroom, green bell pepper, fresh tomatoes and black olives based with Kamarilya's home-style pizza sauce
Kamarilya crafts its pizza ala home-style which make it comforting to eat. It may be quite simple, but simplicity has its own charm. Plus, what you may find really interesting is the hot sauce that comes with the pizza. It has the power to add bolder flavors to it!
Honey Beef Strips || P168
Marinated beef in honey, soy and lemon, served with garlic rice and poached egg
For those who are in dire need of satisfying their hunger, you may want to go for some rice meals here in Kamarilya. This Honey Beef Strips is like a sweet version of the Filipino Tapa. Each bite brings you a sweet savory taste.
Sausage || P228
A home-style sausage served with Mashed potato and Garlic Mayo dip
The house-made sausage here in Kamarilya is totally the bomb! It was definitely meaty and oozing with fantastic bold flavors that generate pleasure for the buds! If you'll dine here in Kamarilya, you should never forget to order any sausage here!
