Ted's Famous La Paz Batchoy in Iloilo and Negros Occidental
It was my first time in Iloilo, and I was super thrilled. This excitement was overwhelming because even when we were on the van we just rented (to transport us from airport to our destination), I kept on asking the driver about Iloilo and its famous food stops. He immediately blurted out Ted's. Hence, I was enthused to find out that there is a nearby Ted's where we stayed. Here in this blog post I will be sharing with you my wonderful experience dining here!
The interior of Ted's here in this branch is simple. It resembles that of a fast food or a food court, but I guess this simplicity works to its advantage as this lets you focus all your attention on the food. Well, that could be one way to look at it, although I would have enjoyed it more when the place is more comfy and cooler (yes, the air-conditioning unit was not helping much in battling the heat).
Beef Sotanghon || P95
I found this batchoy of Ted's extremely palatable because of its harmonious flavors. It also got the right balance of flavors making it easy for me to consume it all in just a couple of minutes. The meat was also tender, and the soup was umami-rich! It's probably the best that I've tasted so far. Really authentic! I was speechless! Also, I tried mine with an additional egg, which was then mixed into the soup.
Batchoy Lomi || P105
The Batchoy Lomi here in Ted's was as exquisite as that of the Beef Sotanghon. The flavors were all-balanced making it highly enjoyable up to the end.
Ted's was my first official meal here in Iloilo, so I was really delighted how I had a great start.

All I want to say is that you really give Ted's a try when you visit Iloilo (or Bacolod, since they already have branches there). A highly recommendable place to try!
