Chocolate Kiss Cafe - The "Sosyal" Place?
After paying the popular Rodic's Diner a visit, we headed to Chocolate Kiss Cafe for some desserts. A lot of people say that this is a "sosyal" place because of the prices of the food (P250+ per dish); however, there are two perspectives that can be used here. Chocolate Kiss Cafe can be expensive or affordable depending on your benchmark.

If we compare the prices within the area (e.g. restaurants and food places around UP), this restaurant may really seem "sosyal" as they put it; however, comparing this with other restaurants of the same type (e.g. in terms of ambiance, food quality, etc), Chocolate Kiss Cafe will seem to be a little more affordable.

The Cakes
As mentioned, the focus of this blog post will be the desserts - but specifically the two popular cakes of Chocolate Kiss Cafe. Don't get too tantalized by the photos, you might just get hungry.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake || P120
New York-style cheesecake with semi-sweet real chocolate chip morsels

This cheesecake reminded me of the Coffee Bean's own cheesecake; however, this one was creamier and has more air (which is not exactly my preference when we speak of this type of cake). Also, the crust was really thin (but definitely enjoyable). I just wish it was thicker because if it is, I could have enjoyed more of its goodness. Also, take note that this cake has a potent cheese flavor, and it depends on you whether you perceive it as a good thing or not.

To cut everything short, this Chocolate Chip Cheesecake was fantastic taste-wise, but something was definitely lacking in the texture department (based on my preference).

Classic Chocolate Cake || P103

Best seller - Classic Chocolate Cake
Oh my, I was persuaded by the mouthwatering description of this cake, and so I didn't hesitate anymore what to order! I love dark chocolate, and so I ordered this thinking I would be brought to heaven!

The ganache was so lovely and tasted almost perfect! Plus, the cake was moist the way I wanted it to be, so for the first few bites I fell totally in love. However, just like in real life, there are times when we just fall out of love. Well, I did fall out of love, but then that was only after feeling really full from the heaviness of the cake. However, as soon as I left the place, I suddenly felt the love back. Hence, to keep the love afire, remember to have someone to share this with because you alone may just get too tired of the taste.

For the record, I was indeed brought to heaven, but it was shorter than what I expected.

The First or The Second?
I think I will go for the first because of the balanced taste. Also, the cheesecake will enable you to enjoy the taste without getting much full.

Without doubt, I recommend you to try this one out!
