Heaven and Eggs (H&E) in Glorietta 4 Makati
H&E Menu Front Cover
A Brief Story
We attended the JPIA Acquaintance Party last August 10, 2013, but we eventually ended up in H&E for dinner. I wasn't aware of the place, but it was recommended by my block mate Troy!

All Day Breakfast Restaurant
Heaven and Egg or H&E for short is a food place where you can enjoy breakfast dishes regardless of what time you dine there! Even if it was dinner time for us, we felt the energy of the morning sun as we dined there!

The Place
Judging by the menu (photo on the left), it seems like the place is so fancy and awesome, but on the contrary it wasn't. In fact, it was far from that. The place exudes a casual ambiance that is not in line with the theme. In fact, you won't figure out exactly what the theme is.

Note about the photos before I proceed: Sadly, I didn't bring my camera with me since it was a party that we attended, so I just used what I had for that moment which was the camera of my phone. Thanks for some editing software, I was able to enhance them somehow (just like the other photos I post in this blog).

The Food

Okay, it's about time that I share about the dishes, so here they are! I was only able to taste 3 of the dishes presented here, so this means I can't comment on the others that I failed to try, or if I do, I would be just giving out what I think of the dish (based on the appearance).

Green Eggs and Ham Omelet at P295
Spam and bacon pesto omelet, with kesong puti, sundried tomatoes and served with bread and shoestring potatoes
Heaven and Eggs: Green Eggs and Ham Omelet at P295
Pesto Egg: Green Eggs and Ham Omelet at P295
This is what my friend Ira and JD had, and I was able to taste a portion of it. Sadly, I can't remember much of the taste, so either it wasn't that memorable, or I am just really that forgetful (but wait, I was able note how distinct the taste of pesto was, that's all). Nonetheless, Ira said it was great!

Eggs Benedict at P305
English muffin, Canadian ham, poached egg with homemade Hollandaise sauce
Heaven and Eggs: Eggs Benedict
Curious with some Eggs Benedict?
Hmmmm, I wasn't able to taste this, but I would like to comment how wonderful the presentation was. Even if I'm not a big fan of Canadian ham, it makes me want to try it.

Grilled Pork Chop at P325
Grilled house marinated pork chops, served with whipped potatoes, buttered vegetables, your choice of egg and house
Heaven and Eggs: Grilled Pork Chop
Play the guitars: Grilled Pork Chop
I love the guitar-shaped plate, but I don't love the pork fat popping up like that! However, according to my friend Pam, she loved how it tasted, disregarding the fat of course. I leave the judgement to you.

Manila Ribs, 2011 at P325
Sweet and smoked BBQ pork ribs served with java rice, pickled papaya (achara), tomatos, salted egg and egg of choice
Heaven and Eggs: Signature Manila Ribs, 2011
The Signature Dish: Manila Ribs, 2011
Although it appears that the serving is small in the photo, it wasn't. In fact, it may still give delight to two people sharing with this dish. Also, just like the what's written on the menu, this Manila Ribs, 2011 was sweet and barbecue-y, plus you'll enjoy it because of the fine texture and quality of the meat itself. Actually, what I particular found interesting was the egg (the one on top of the rice). It was really crunchy because it seemed to have a light breading. Anyway, when you eat this dish, be sure to focus on the flavors of each of the component, that way, you'll find so much joy digging in to this stuff!

White Vegetable Omelet at P215
Three-egg white omelet with white onion, green bellpepper, tomato, brocolli asparagus and white cheese
Heaven and Eggs: White Vegetable Omelet
Veggie all the way with WhiteVegetable Omelet!
If you are in the mood for some healthier alternatives, why not try this dish? It's pretty fresh, and not to mention, affordable! I know this is something not that hard to prepare at home, but they still have that power to make simple dish look so delicious and awesome! Again, for the price, it's already a good one!

Heaven and Eggs in a Nutshell
At first the prices may seem high since these are just basic dishes, but if you think of it long enough, you may realize that it's worth the money because of the awesome food preparation and presentation, good service and fresh taste of the dishes!

Needless to say, I recommend this place for you to check out (despite the place not looking that fancy)!
For the dishes: Among all the mentioned dishes, I recommend the following the Manila Ribs, 2011. In my opinion, it was worth the price!

    1. I am guessing they still have that because there is a buffet table there on the side. Have you tried the buffet there? :)
