Gelare's Dense Gelato in Uptown Mall, BGC
Following our carbo-loading in Denny’s (read more), we decided to just explore Uptown Mall further and burn some of the calories as we walk around. Of course, we came across this dessert place called Gelare, and you already know what happened next.
Comfort in a cup
The place has this bright modern look that is highly comforting. It’s the type of place that you’ll feel like you are in another “dimension”, which makes it a good place to finish a book, ponder on things or just eat a cup of gelato.
More than just gelatos
Just like a traditional gelato café, Gelare offers coffee and gelato, as well as those in between such as smoothies and shakes. For the night, we just had the gelato to complete our foodie journey for the day.
As mentioned, we were just looking for desserts at that time, so we ended up trying their gelato. Hopefully, the next time I drop by the place, I can give their coffee or smoothies a try.
The gelato (P199 for 2 scoops) was incredibly smooth and thick all at the same time. The sweetness is somehow tamed which brought further delight to our palate. The natWe had the strawberry and the one with honey. .

Gelare is indeed a place of comfort with its peaceful modern interior. You'll enjoy the "softness" in the ambiance as you finish a cup of coffee or a gelato. Best of all, the gelato here is extremely thick yet smooth, which gives it a distinguishing factor.
