La Creperie in Burgos Circle, BGC - Experience Comfort!

La Creperie in Burgos Circle

To complete my younger brother's birthday, we decided to go for some desserts after getting all full from Locavore (read more). It was already past 10 when we finished dinner, so we found it somehow difficult to find a place for desserts, but that's when La Creperie caught our eyes. The next thing we knew, we were already inside.

When I got inside, I initially thought that it was just a regular fancy cafe, but when we were escorted to the second floor, I was utterly amazed. The sight of the staircase alone is breathtaking for me, and it was during that moment when I got convinced that this cafe is a magnificent place.

Have a glimpse of the place, by watching the video below.

Restaurant with the best interior
Cozy and homey are words of underestimation with how excellently planned the interior is. This is by far the restaurant with the best interior on my books. Everything was just perfect -- from the wooden floor to the alignment of books on shelves. Just being there took away all the worries I have. It felt safe. Peaceful as well. It felt home.

Literally, all of its corners are Instagram-worthy. Just pick any spot there, and take a shot. I'm sure that you'll get a great one.

Crepes and everything nice
The name of the cafe itself indicates that crepes are being served here, but if in case you are not much into that, you have the choice of getting some of their cakes and/or other pastries. Savory dishes are available too in case you opt to have dinner here. However, since we went here with one purpose in mind - dessert, this blog post will just feature those sweet stuff we had.

The dessert experience started rather slow with the first and second crepe being too typical in terms of presentation and taste. It definitely needs some further innovation to create spark for these two dishes. Luckily and thankfully, La Creprie gracefully caught upe with the next two dishes..

Basic Crepe (P95) + Strawberries (P70) + Chocolate Drizzles (P70) = P235. Not worth the price.

Crepe Brulee with Strawberries and Banana (P235)

Salidou Crepe Cake (P185) was an instant winner with its fullness (a result of 20 layers of crepe). Each bite brings comforting sensation especially that its sweetness is just right. Enough to tickle those sweet tooth. A good buy!

Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie Crepe (P265) was a dream come true for chocolate lovers. The core which is made up of brownie had this cocoa richness and supreme moisture that is velvety as you take a bite. It's a must try especially for those who are really into choco desserts.

La Creperie was able to capture the elements that would make its interior feel genuinely home. This adds a lot to the entire experience allowing you to enjoy the crepes. Admittedly, not all the crepes we had were fantastic, but we didn't mind because the ambiance compensates for it. Comfort really abounds here in La Creperie which is why you should give this a visit as soon as you can!
