Teddy's Bigger Burgers in Greenbelt 3, Makati City
I have been away from our office in Makati, since I am deployed somewhere closer to my home. While I honesty enjoy the convenience due to the proximity, I can't help but miss a lot of awesome things in Makati including the food scene and definitely my cool office mates.
Thankfully, our batch - The Newhires Forever More (NHFM) - is proactive in maintaining our incredible "bondedness". Just this recent Thursday we scheduled a dinner-out as well as a movie night! The chosen foodie destination was Teddy's Bigger Burgers.
When I heard that we'll be dining here in Teddy's, I had my apprehensions. Well, I usually don't get to hear good feedback about the place, so I really was reluctant. In fact, I was trying to convince the group to try something else.
In the end, we still pushed through because they convinced me to give it a chance.
The interior of Teddy's Bigger Burgers here in Greenbelt 3 tries to capture the look of a typical burger diner, and honestly, they were able to pull it off. The lighting was dim, though, which made me a little confused as to the restaurant's theme. Well, what I have in mind when we speak of a "diner" is a place with an upbeat and lighter ambiance. That was not the case here in Teddy's.
I just shrugged that confusion, since my stomach was really rumbling that time. It took as a while to decide which to order because most of us were shocked of the soaring prices. In the end, we did come up with our orders, even if there was a sheer amount of reluctance and doubt.
Diablo || P248
1/4 lb patty, fire sauce, buffalo sauce, jalapenos and special sauce
I'm not sure if this is indeed the Diablo Burger, but what I want to show you is how the burger looks like when you choose among the Great Kahuna Burgers (1/4 lb).
Lanikai Burger || Big (5 oz) - P347 || Bigger (7 oz) - P427 || Biggest (9 oz) - P467
Cajun seasoning, jalapeno, grilled pineappple and pico de gallo
This Lanikai Burger was more than decent. It got this juicy and delicious patty that blended well with the sweetness of the pineapple as well as the pico de gallo. If you are confused with what to order, you may go for this one.
Kailua Burger || Big - P347 || Bigger - P427 || Biggest - P467
Teri, Swiss Cheese, Grilled Onions and Mushrooms
While Lanikai had some sweetness with it, this Kailua Burger had a subtle saltiness that was almost equally great. This controlled and balanced saltiness came from the Swiss cheese as well as the spiced mushrooms. As for the patty, it was undoubtedly awesome!
Well, there you go. I wasn't able to have anything else, since I was on a budget. Hence, let me now just share with you some photos of the gang!
By the way, there were three things I greatly enjoyed here in Teddy's. The first one was the patty. The second one was the Avocado Ice Cream (P35), and the last one -- well, us being there.

Budget: At least P450 each for a signature burger with fries and drinks
My overall experience here in Teddy's is a not-so-good one. I may be brutal in saying this, but I felt like I was robbed out of money when I had one of its burger. I paid about P360 for a burger that gave me happiness equal to those that I usually enjoy at P180 to P250. Setting the price aside, I would say that the patty used here in Teddy's Bigger Burgers is indeed special -- excellent event. However, the bun as well as the presentation didn't give justice to the awesomeness of the patty.
The burgers were nice here in Teddy's, but overall I was not impressed. Now, it's up to you. I encourage you still to give it a try, because it may just be me. Afterwards, you may want to share your verdict here.
