EMONG'S Famous Malunggay Bread in Legazpi

This is just a quick post on Emong's famous Malunggay pandesal (bread). When we visited Legazpi, we were able to try out some pandesal from Emong's Bakery on one fine morning. One small bite was enough to make us all fall in love with this "manna from heaven".

According to my friend Troy, the malunggay bread costs P2 each, and every piece is served fresh and warm.  It is definitely tantalizing to feel the warmth as you hold it and catch a waft of the mouthwatering aroma.

The taste and texture of the bread was somehow comparable with that of Pan De Manila's; however, this is more unique considering the added malunggay. The good thing about this pandesal is that the taste of the malunggay was just subtle, making you enjoy more of the other fresh ingredients! That day when we had Emong's Malunggay Bread,  I found the best pandesal to date!

When you visit Legazpi, make sure you won't miss trying Emong's famous Malunggay Pandesal Bread.
